OLD BRIDGE

The bridge over Vorotan is called the Kurdish bridge, which was built by the Kurdish prince of Syunik in the eighth century. Not far from the bridge are the ruins of King Alan’s palace.

The bridge,except for the two front arches, lined with polished wedges, is entirely made of rough basalt stones with lime mortar. The total length of the bridge is 31.0 m, the arch opening is 12.0 m, the total width is 3.5 m, of which the passage is 2.15 m.
