There is a church (5-6 centuries) named Khot Monastery  in Old Khot. Around the village there are mausoleums. In one of them the ruins of red Church (12th century) are preserved. According to tradition, the church bells were known for their powerful tone and Zangezur name associated with it. According to another tradition, one of the churches, perhaps the one called Mrgadzor Khach, was built by a woman who escaped from Shah Abbas’s harem.
